EXT. INLAND EMPIRE PARK - DAY
Pre-pubescent children play on swings, stare at dirt, etc.
SOME KID walks up to ME.
SOME KID:
Hey. Yeah, uh, you heard that song? Brink in the Walls?
ME:
Well er [sniffle] uh yeah. On the radio?
SOME KID:
Yeh Pink Flawd. Yeah. Well [sniffle] I was, uh in that.
ME:
[sqinting] Whauu?
SOME KID:
Uh. Yeah. [looking away] I was in the, ah, chorus. That chorus? You know.
ME:
Herrrm, aah.
SOME KID:
“Teacher Leave Those Kids” ?
ME:
Uhh. Huhm. Yeah.
SOME KID:
Yeeah. That. I was, like, one of those kids.
ME:
But. You don’t. Have a British accent?
SOME KID:
It was a chorus? Maybe you don’t get it. Okay well.
SOME KID leaves to play on swings.
ME goes back to looking for bottle caps in the dirt.
