There are so many bands now that one finds interesting because of the combination of all of the possible historical threads they could have chosen, the ones they have chosen to weave together, you think "ooh, that's interesting, how could somebody put those things together and get away with it, and make something I like?" So I think that's kind of what's happening now with painting, and politics, and economics.

The record age was just a blip. It was a bit like if you had a source of whale blubber in the 1840s and it could be used as fuel. Before gas came along, if you traded in whale blubber, you were the richest man on Earth. Then gas came along and you'd be stuck with your whale blubber. Sorry mate – history's moving along. Recorded music equals whale blubber. Eventually, something else will replace it.

I have a track that I want cut but, I know that it distorts and becomes very loud during play… I don't wish for it to be cleaned up and get charged extra for studio time so would it be okay if you just cut it anyway?…I don't care really. I just want the record.
No, I will not just go ahead and cut it anyway for two reasons
1. The record will sound like butt.
